Access to Mental Health

At EHAN, we are dedicated to working collaboratively across public, private, and social sectors to build impactful partnerships. Our aim is to actively mitigate and interrupt drivers of health inequities, such as racism, bias, and structural flaws within the health system that disproportionately affect black and brown populations.

Our Vision

Committed to Healing, where our mission is rooted in advancing mental health equities, particularly within communities of color. Mental and Behavioral Health disorders are pervasive, affecting 13.6% of all years of life lost to disability and premature death in the U.S. Shockingly, over one in five U.S. adults grapple with a mental illness, with ethnic/racial minorities often experiencing a disproportionately high burden, as evidenced by alarming statistics.

Cultivate change in communities where access to mental health is not determined by race, gender, or zip code.

Envision a world where all individuals, with a specific emphasis on marginalized persons, have equitable resources and access to achieve optimum health and well-being.

Identifying Disparities

Utilizing both data and the human experience to identify mental health disparities and scale innovative health solutions.

Statistical Insight

Recognizing that ethnic/racial minorities often bear a high burden, we are committed to tailoring solutions that address specific challenges faced by these communities.

Statistical Insight

Understanding that issues like insurance limitations, mental illness stigma, lack of diversity in mental health care, and distrust in the healthcare system disproportionately affect communities of color.

Driving Innovation Through Partnerships

Collaborating with local and state community stakeholders to pioneer innovative solutions.

Addressing Policy Changes

Advocating for policy changes that induce systemic shifts and dismantle structural racism within the mental health system.

Join us in our commitment to creating a mental health landscape where equity is the cornerstone, ensuring no one is left behind based on race, gender, or geographic location. Together, we can shape a future where mental health resources are accessible to all, fostering healing and well-being in every community.
